I too thought this was a good production. The train was excellent down to the ribbed flooring and the effects were spot on though it was a shame there was no sound of breaking glass to accompany the fire extinguisher going through the window. I enjoyed the twists in the tale but admit I was waiting for "Maclain" to grab the gun from behind when he seemed to have ample opportunity for about 3 minutes.
Well done to all concerned in particular David Templeton for his baddie role and Paula Randall who was very confident in her understudy role.
I do agree with the opening message that there were holes in the plot; in particular I wondered why it took so long for anyone to try to open any windows since it was so hot!
Was it just my imagination or did the council turn the heating up especially so the audience could share the experience of the passengers?(yes, I know they do it for all plays!)
Note to Mark Brown - I bought a ticket this time ;0)
