Your right. The Whaletown Commons Project was started by a "Special Interest Group". To bolster summer rentals and sales. ANOTHER USELESS Park to add to promotions.

The land was "designated and zoned" By The RDCS for Long Term Forestry under The current OCP. M+B had offered the community 10% of their lands as parkland for "FREE" during the Last OCP rewrite.

The RDCS "TURNED IT DOWN". Along with many of the same people who now want Taxpayers funds to buy it.

I live in Whaletown and have no use for it. Carrington is a much nicer place to walk.

Jenny's not moving off the Island she's just Selling one Grow-op for another on Olmstead RD.

If the Gorge Hall Burns Down , rebuild it or move it to the the Old School House property.

"Thanks Dupree" for Promoting/Supporting free speech on Cortes Island.
