Swimsuit Prelims: Loved the differences in fit and toned body sizes.

• Austin looked great in swimsuit. Very pretty lady.
• Isabella Radovan was so playful in her presentation (in a good way). It stood out to me in comparison to others more “restrained” presentation.
• DFW and Fort Worth look like Barbie dolls (also meant in a good way!)
• I loved Euless’ fabulous confidence! The swimsuit was flattering to her body.
• Houston’s presentation was also confident! Loved her model walk!
• Laredo is so beautiful!
• Northwood is also very beautiful!
• RGV is super fit! Muscular but not overly so. Loved it!
• San Antonio is very beautiful, too. Seemed “quietly confident” in her presentation. What a smile!
• Tomball (Kirby Lindley) looked great! I liked the light hair!

Evening Gown Prelims:

• Capitol of Texas carried her dress well, even though I think the style has been worn for a while now and is somewhat expected within today’s pageants. (Low cut gold sequined dress with a chiffon bottom and thigh high slit.)
• Central South Texas looked great in her white dress (a safe style)
• . Not to sound like a total fangirl, but there is something different radiating from within her and it is very eye catching.
• I wasn’t expecting DFW in what I would call a conservative dress (orange red halter dress with sequins at the chest and waist). I don’t think it does her beauty justice, but she seemed comfortable in her presentation.
• Fort Hood looks great in yellow!
• Fort Worth looked great in her gown (long chiffon mini cape at each shoulder of her, with silver sequins and silver sequined straps.)
• Loved Helotes’ Grecian gown! Gold bandaged top and white fitted bottom).
• Loved Houston’s gown. Black mermaid dress (Sequins and beads on top, black feathers at the bottom).
• Laguna Vista was simply GLOWING in her presentation! For a moment, also, I thought I was looking at a sweet faced Mandy Moore look-alike.
• Laredo looked stunning! Long sleeved deep red fitted mermaid dress with a deep plunge in front and back. Very classic glam in style presentation.
• Northwood looked great as well! Strapless red sequined dress with satin bottom and thigh high slit.
• RGV looked good although I lack the words to describe her dress. It’s one of those black chiffon over nude colored material. The black chiffon had flowers and swirly designs.
• San Antonio looks great as well. Sequins throughout and a thigh high slit. We’ve seen the style many times before, though, and to be honest, I don’t think it does her beauty justice. A top contender nonetheless.
• My video froze with the beginning of Star City, and I know I’ve missed several ladies. Reloaded but the image is frozen again, although the audio is still coming through without issue.  Reloaded again, but now evening prelims are over. 

I remember when I first got into watching pageants, hearing/reading that judges are not looking for "the latest style" or "most expensive dress". The judges are not evaluating the dress, but rather the woman within the dress and how she carried herself. I have to admit that in the past, a part of me was like, "Pft, whatevs." I don't know what the judges' scoring is like, but I sincerely hope that they gave Laguna Vista high marks in the evening prelims, because for the first time ever in my recollection, I never had seen any contestant who was truly glowing in her evening gown presentation. Laguna Vista's gown may not have been the sparkliest or sexiest or most expensive, but she was rocking it and it showed. Like, I wanted to meet her halfway for a hug, but the computer screen thwarted me, and as she looked down like "See me be awesome in this dress", this girl was like, wearing my heart with her presentation. I get now what I didn't understand what judges say they were looking for and I hope they rewarded her for it. <3

Any thoughts on these gowns?? They were definitely in my top 5 favorite. Tomball’s being #1. Everyone was jaw-dropped.
