Hi everyone, we'd like to remind you of the rules that are stated at the top of this forum. The Texas Beauty Shop was not founded on the premise of demoralizing contestants and/or winners. It was never designed to be a place for hate, lies, deceit, or to air dirty laundry and rumors.

This board has gone through its fair share of drama, but through it all, the moderators have always tried to be fair, consistent, and remove anything that goes against our values and what the board stands for. Our apologies that some of the recent comments were not deleted sooner, which only continued to fuel a very hot fire.

This board has always been a place to share in the beauty of an industry that so many are passionate about. It's a place to celebrate the contestants, share our favorites, rally behind the girls, share tips and tricks, and just overall love on the sport of pageantry.

We'd like for you all to take a step back, breathe, and calm down. You may not like an outcome, you may not like a director or a contestant or even a winner, but please remember that we are all just people. People trying to do our best, be our best, and ultimately win a pageant.

Help us create a fun environment and a place where we can all show some grace and respect for one another.

Also the year of the people who won’t stop bitching about Logan’s win. Please people, whether you support her or not, the least you can do is post something different other than bashing Logan. It’s becoming very annoying that all the new posts are always about her. Bashing posts about her. She won and she will be miss Texas USA for the rest of the year and she will wear texas across her chest at miss USA. If you don’t like her, post about who you are rooting for as the next miss Texas. Hype them up. Hype your favorite up. But please, y’all are making everyone hate this board. This is becoming a hate board. Makes me not want to come on here anymore.


To Logan: please ignore them and keep doing you and don’t let anything discourage you from enjoying this year. Mostly miss USA. You have won a ticket to a place of where many dream of going in their whole life time. To miss USA. Please do us miss USA dreamers a favor and share your whole journey with us!! The past miss Texas usas in the recent years have not done a very good job with that. Idk why. They clapped and the least they could have done was to share that with us. Not just a post once a month(Wtf) Share as much as you can. And enjoy it. You have a lot of haters, but you have even MORE people who support you.



I still don’t get why the past title holders wouldn’t post as much about their reign, during their reign. It still gets me mad when I think about it.

I hope everyone calms down a bit. No for Logan but for the sake of this board.

Does anyone else feel the same about our queens sharing stuff about their reign through social media?

I’ve been watching the Instagram Live Stories and I have to ask if you think Miss New Braunfels was as ridiculous as Laredo or worse?
I mean acting snobby is not getting you anywhere & having everything staged was absolutely ridiculous! Director writing a five dollar check for charity looked extremely unprofessional, but then again it suits them well because they are the billboard for unprofessionalism. I guess Miss NB was just being her snobby self, but Laredo showed her true classless self. Poor girl being staged & had to give her director a plug. The girl needs plenty of grammar & speech classes.
A little tip to the rest of the other girls: Be yourselves, do not allow anyone to dictate what you should be and for heaven sakes learn to be articulate before signing up for a public contestant.

In honor of Miss Texas tickets going on sale.. I Have a few questions.. Please Chime in.

With the sudden demise of Denise and Nicole:

- What will happen with the bevy of beauties that associated with her (NOB) Logan, Hannah, Stephanie, Blaine..etc? Will that affect the Texas outcome?
-Will the streak of beautiful Latina's end since 3 out of the 4 clapped?
-Will they crown the former Teen USA ( Danielle Doty) so there is no drama?
-Is Kate Dunn the ultimate state hopper? Okay. No she is not running yet. However TX- CO- TX. My head is spinning.

Although I don't know any of this year's contestants personally, this is my take away on the weekend. Brenna was the clear standout! She was radiant and glowing on stage. She deserved the crown!! So happy the judges made the right choice. I do remember her 4 years ago and feeling absolutely awful for her when she fell on stage! I bet she wouldn't change a thing:). She has become such a beautiful, well spoken, witty teenager, who has stole the hearts of many Texas pageant fans!
Skylar was beautiful! She did everything right and honestly, she shouldn't change a thing! Her evening gown was breathtaking! I hope she gives it a few years and comes back to Miss Texas. I think she will do really well.
I loved that the judges saw the sparkle in some new pageant girls! Although they were completely nervous and not as prepared as some, it was fun to see the expressions and excitement on their faces when their names were called to the top 5. My only big surprise was Highland Park being left out of the top 5. The future looks bright in Texas.
Kirby was stunning, as always and was a true Texas beauty throughout her year! Genuine, grace and beauty, inside and out! Best of luck to her and her future endeavors!

Subject: My Review: Fort Worth-Clear winner. She is a sweet girl, but I don't think she will place at Teen USA. San Marcos- Beautiful and well spoken. I died over her gown, and you can tell her mother coached her well. Midland Co- Looked very sweet, but I do not agree with her gown win. DFW- bless her heart. She is probably the most naturally beautiful out of that group, but you can tell she was so nervous and unprepared for OSQ. I loved her, and I don't understand why people were shocked by her placement. Capital City- looks like a young Camila Cabello. Very age appropriate. I was not as blown away by Austin and Highland Park as many were. I thought HP looked fake and robotic, and Austin didn't stand out to me aside from her GORGEOUS face.

I thought the show was good overall, it ran smoothly. Albert and Nancy kept stumbling over their words, which happenes from time to time but come on, it’s not your first rodeo guys. This year the people’s choice winner got to take the stage as a semi finalist, smart way to get people to dish more money out. There were quite a few surprises for me in the top 18. Central Webb Co., Hidalgo Co., Hunter’s Creek Village and Travis County came out of nowhere for me. I was surprised to see them make it over stronger more ploished competitors like Houston and Corpus Christi. In the top 5, DFW and Capital City were shockers, while I think they were top 18 worthy, they were nervous wrecks I can’t see how they made it over Austin and Highland Park. Going by the top 5, the judges clearly wanted a tan (fake tan or not) brunette to win and once it came down to it I thought San Marcos would take it, but Brenna winning was not a surprise. She was very prepared and came to win. I think Midland County could take it all next year, sad Skylar aged out. I really like ber subtle personality. I think she’ll be a contender at Miss Teen USA, but I think this year sent a clear message, gone are the days of older looking teens winning. They want a bubbly, sugar high teeny bopper.

First the emcee's were killing me!! They kept stumbling over their words and I think they may have had a few drinks before competition. The stage was beautiful.

The top 18.
Sparkling city was so lost and I hope she gets some training because she is a cute girl. I loved Capital City but she was a bit much for me in on stage interview. I was SHOCKED Dallas made it in the the top 15. I didn't have here anywhere near the top. I said for years that Midland County had the makings of a teen USA and she could take the whole thing next year. I was a little surprised Rio Grand Valley didn't make it but Frisco, Hunters Creek, and Travis county did. However we all see things different. I did like DFW but she needs a bit more training on her hair/makeup and speaking abilities. With that training she will go very far.

I admit I missed Mary Frances Nance, Emily Lites, and Victoria Hinojosa this year. I wish girls didn't have to age out and I really hope to see them all compete again.

What has happened to Laredo? The girls look unprepared & they’ve got lost with the other girls who are unknown. I will admit Laredo looks cute, but not strong enough and much less Webb County! I understand the child is not even fourteen years old and her breast are busting out all over the picture - reads “DESPERATE”. How can the parents allow such photo and her makeup needs to be blended. They need to fire the makeup artist. Regardless of the fact, I still wish them all luck. These are my tops:

Brenna Flynn doesn't tear girls down to win. Brenna Flynn is a TRUE beauty queen and future TEEN USA in my opinion and MY daughters view. Last year was my daughters first year to compete. She was scared to death and did not know what she was doing. Brenna noticed she was upset and helped her get ready instead of getting herself ready. WE ARE 100% ROOTING FOR BRENNA

As the pageant gets closer we all have our favorites. Top 15 and Final 5. All the contestant's have worked so hard and we should be so proud when they hit the stage. If I had to pick Top 5 of coarse you would have your big city girls Fort Worth, Austin, San Marcos, Houston and I think Del Rio will be a definite surprise and underdog. I think it would be phenomenal to see a small town girl win. Who ever the next Texas Teen is I am sure she will be fabulous.
