 Miss World 1959. Photo 1.

This photo was published on 24th October 1959, seventeen days before the final night. Maria Elena Rosell is Miss Venus Peru, and she will arrive in Bogota at 2:25 am, and then, she will go to London to participate in Miss World 1959.

Maria Elena’s parents are Colonel Alberto Rosell and her mother, Rosa de Rosell. Maria Elena is 17 years old, 1.70 m tall and weighs 60 kilos. Her hair and eyes are brown. She finished her studies last year and is now preparing to study languages in Lima, where she plans to improve her skills in her favourite sports: riding and tennis. She likes classical music.

Maria Elena represented Piura province in Miss Venus Peru; Lions Club and El Sol radio station chose her.

Before she goes to London, she will participate in different events in Bogota.
