This photo was published on 1st November 1959, nine days before the final night. In the exotic setting of Kon-tiki at the Mont-Royal Hotel, Miss Hawaii felt right at home. She came to Montreal to deliver a personal message from Hawaiian Governor Quinn and Mayor Sarto Fournier. Actress and model Margaret Kealamoani Brumaghim is the most photographed young woman from the 50th U.S. state, which is why she earned the title of Miss Hawaii.
