This photo was published on 11th July, eight days before the final night. This bevy of beauties, contestants for the Miss Universe 1957 title, took to the water yesterday at Palisades Park, New Jersey. The dip was for the benefit of photographers. They’re en route to Long Beach, California, where a winner will be chosen. They are (left to right) Miss Morocco, Jacqueline Bonilla; Miss Austria, Hannerl Melcher; Miss Canada, Gloria Noakes; Miss Belgium, Janine Hanotiau; Miss Sri Lanka, Camelia Perera; Miss Sweden, Inger Jonsson; and Miss Germany, Gerti Daub.
