In a recent interview, Stevie was asked who the love of her life was. My thoughts ran to Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, Don Henley. But no - it was Joe Walsh of all people. She said she's never gotten over him, but she knows he's happy with his wife and two children now. The two of them were madly in love but their drug abuse was killing them both. He felt that one of them was going to die, so he summoned up the courage to leave her. Then they both sought help and are sober now. I found that to be an incredibly personal revelation, and a big surprise in fact.

  • Oh, and I have another song idea for much later in your book, one that feels like a perfect fit to me. I'll reveal it when my 2nd set of questions take place near the end of Mermaid. (NT) -- Elaine, 12:19:09 09/17/07 Mon
