When we first met Love, I had no idea he was going to turn into the type of person he was later revealed to be. Sure he would be something of a crooked politician, but no better or worse than most -- handing out favours where it would do him good, giving help to secure favours of his own in the future. I knew there was much discrimination against the Irish in North America when the first big waves of immigration came, so perhaps for me it was how financially involved Irish-Americans were in the on-going struggle in Ireland. -- Cindy's Cottage
