23) Well it's been about 20yrs since I read Gatsby, but it seems that Fitzgerald & Frost are reflecting on the idea that with each new day comes new opportunities. A chance to follow dreams, assert ideals. And while we may not accomplish them in the time & manner we wish, we still greet each day with the hope that today will take us a step forward.

24) A life with consequences...I think it applies to all the characters as well as ourselves. The choices we make are always with us.

25) I'm glad Pat finally told Casey. I was so mad at Casey for coming to such conclusions and not trying to hear Pamela's side. She may never have told him but he should have at least showed enough respect to give her the opportunity to explain. In this case I think it's Casey that must make the bigger sacrifice and try to rebuild the fragile relationship he has with Pamela and Pat for that matter.

  • The Great Gatsby has one of my favourite endings, it's not happy but it really is beautiful. >>>> -- celtgirl, 21:54:20 07/15/09 Wed
