• Still trying to catch up here :-) I don't think anyone, besides Pamela, can say whether she did the right thing or no. I mean we have opinions of course and we might think we'd know what we'd do in her situation, but we really don't if we haven't been there....*think* being the key word imho. She herself might not even be sure it was the right thing to do or not. At the time, her emotions and feelings are guiding her and there's not much time to make a decision. She could later, with more time and in hindsight feel differently and regret and wish she'd made a different choice. I do think Jamie was right to support HER decision, whether he agreed with it or not. Casey? • IMHO she made the best choice she could with what she was feeling and dealing with in that moment. I can't imagine going through something like this alone and it seems to me you'd want the support of someone close and obviously Pat wouldn't be able to handle it. Maude...well I think naming the child/fetus made it much more personal and therefore harder to let go. Jamie will always be Pamela's friend of the soul and I can't imagine him not helping her, ever. As for Casey, I think his role is more than just Pamela's fear for his life in seeking her vindication. IMHO it's also the fear that seeing a child daily that isn't his would constantly remind him of his not being able to protect her and that would slowly eat at his sense of pride and honor. • I think Pamela did what was right for her, her sanity and her future with Casey. Jamie just seemed to be the natural choice to go through this with Pamela. I wonder if she didn't want Casey involved because he would feel the need to seek revenge on a murderous level that wouldn't be able to do it as "underground" as Jamie could and I wonder if she wanted to prevent Casey from having blood on his hands. I think it would affect Casey and Jamie differently. Naming the fetus - why not? It is a being and regardless of how it was created and perhaps it is part of the mourning and of saying goodbye and seeking some closure for her.       • Oh, I tell a lie. :) I thought I'd better double check, and on Wikipedia it says their relationship was consummated once, and that after that she told him that she prayed all earthly desire would be removed from his love for her. • Pamela doesn't want to tell Casey, because she really doesn't want him to go off and get himself in terrible trouble, nor does she expect that Jamie will deal with it either- she's just trying to limit damage in the moment. She has her hands full with the resulting pregnancy, etc. Her love and life with Casey is so brand new that it's still fragile, so she chooses not to tell him.
