• I think Casey had made up his mind after that time in the church. It didn't really matter what the coin said...it just gave Pamela a bit of excitement with it...like it was a fateful decision. I get shivers and could cry just thinking about it so I can imagine Casey's feelings for Pamela when Brian tells him this. I'm not sure what the coin landed on. I think Casey would do anything to protect Pamela, keep her safe and keep them together so perhaps he had made up his mind before he flipped. I wonder if Casey told Cindy?   • Not really, no, and there aren't even trees on the hill where I have his house located, so I really did make Jamie's house in my mind, as well as the land surrounding it. There are some gorgeous old Georgian homes though, that did inspire me in one of the very tony neighbourhoods in Belfast, called Knockdean. We went walking there one night and ended up having a smoke (well, I didn't smoke but Jeannine did- and I tell you smoking allows you alls sorts of social contact you can't comfortably get otherwise) with a group of butlers of all things.   • Carla summed up my thoughts/feelings perfectly, below. I do love Jamie but he feels 'above me' not in a snooty/snobby way. I'm not highly educated (and though I've now said that twice here this week, I'm not self-concious about that anymore..I am what I am), I've never been wealthy and I wouldn't even know how to 'work' connections. I just don't relate. I'm more blue collar, laid back and down to earth. I relate to Casey, his upbringing, his working class attitude. I have worked hard for my degrees, but I did them for myself and not to impress others. I quite honestly could be a career student I love school that much...which makes me a complete nut! :-) I figure the school of hard knocks can teach you as much if not more about life than any dern edumucation can. :-) And with both, you only learn by paying attention, which I think you have done and now your daughters are learning from their mom how to be wonderfully independent women.   • I think because we aside from rare glimpses we mostly see Pat through Casey's eyes, I tend to think of him as "the little brother" and so off the sexual radar for me, so to speak. In real life, his type is probably the type I'd go for -- not intimidating, smart -- both on the street and in books, not involved in violent activities (well, except when he's attacked or provoked) and just easy to talk with.
