I think we're having a moment of synchronicity, E. because I was just reading about the whole concept of Russia as <i>rodina</i> last night. They think it goes back to the pagan religions when most cultures worshipped the Great Mother. Maybe we can save this statue for the centrepiece of the circle- just give her angel wings and wa-la!! I am kidding of course, she sorta scares me. :) Really it's quite a striking statue though. -- Cindy's Cottage
