Pamela doesn't seem to me the kind of woman who would sit and wait and worry but rather do something on her own terms to help and worry at the same time. I think the worry is part of her future but I dont think she is prepared to live without Casey just so she doesnt have to worry. I think even if she left Casey or chose not to have a future with him that she would always worry about him anyway. -- Cindy's Cottage

I think this is something you have to accept when you are involved with a man who puts himself in dangerous situations - whether activist, military, policemen, firemen, etc. You have to be strong enough to be okay with the worry, as hard a it is. You have to trust the man will make smart decisions, rely on any training and pray that God will give him back when he's done. I think she's strong enough, but she's also got to remember that timing and degree are everything...the wrong time or the wrong action can increase the danger to her man (and herself). - This is something I hear alot from readers- that they wish that dang Pamela would be more careful. I think some of the worrying and waiting Casey has had to do over her, has taught him just how miserable the procedure is.   - I get where Pamela is coming from in this particular situation. you don't choose who you love, you just love who you love. And you have to figure out the rest. I worry about Mike and if I was 19 when I met him I would probably have behaved more like Pamela. But with age I learned that I couldn't be in control of that aspect of our marriage. I have to trust that he's learned everything he needs in training (thus I try not to complain about when he's away to train because I know its important).
