Subject: 1. I hadn't expected it to be Robin all along, and then suddenly I saw that it was inevitable. This chapter took about three years of sporadic writing- it was a hard one to write, mostly because Casey undergoes such profound betrayal between the man who was his best friend and the woman who means more to him than anything in the world. I really felt his pain in the scene with Pamela and it was awful.

Well Brian always knew something was very wrong in the Temple household and he understood there was even more than met the eye- so it's likely he'd dig around, perhaps at some point confront Robin's father. Robin's dad would have hated Brian for being all he never was- and perhaps knowing on some level Brian was worthy of Robin's love and admiration while he never was.
