Subject: (65.4) Your guess is as good as mine. I'd supposed the meetings were an attempt to find common ground. The IRA was not terribly organized at that time, but maybe it showed signs of gaining momentum and the government was getting a little twitchy. (65.5) Probably I'm way off - I just took the guys in the ditch to be staking out their territory. Or maybe they'd been assigned to watch William Bright's team and they just happened to be spotted at this particular time.
