I have a doubt. I didn't understand very well the difference between cross-cultural pragmatics and interlaguage pragmatics. IP, learners have to acquire the norms of the host community. Isn't it the same in cross-cultural pragmatics? Although individuals carry out their interaction according to their rules or norms, they have to know the other culture and acquire it if they are living in a different communite. Am I wrong? Please help me.
