It's very clear for me, Lourdes. Some teachers reaaly base their tecahing in grammar, and the forget about the other aspcets of language, specially pragmatics. According to Guy Cook, pragmatics' main concern is not the literal meaning, but what speakers intend to do with their words and what it is which makes this intention clear.
