I think that music can nourish the physical body. The music can effect your mood. It also can rejuvenate your body when you feel like your body is holding you back. Like when I am tired in the morning, I listen to music and feel like I can survive the day.
Music can bring a greater health to your mind because it can give you a new outlook on life. During the 1920s, the great depression occured. Music kept the hope of the United States up. Also music gives us understanding to certain type of people. For example, the blues gave us an understanding of African Americans that was not tainted by the white peoples interpratation of them.
Yes, music can hurt the soul. Music that makes fun of other races like "oh sussana" and "camptown racers" can be offensive. Also music can be viewed diffrently by numerous people. If a song is sad to one person it can hurt them a little. Thirdly music can have touchy subjects like rape and gang killings and can be offencive to someone who was raped or knew someone who died in a gang killing.
Mostly music that cleanses my mind is most important. It keeps me awake during the day. Also it helps me think. Finally it just keeps me happy.
