1. I think that many individuals attacked swing music just because it was different than what they were traditionally used to. Americans did not want their culture to change because of African american ideals causing this new culture to seem immoral.
2. I think that some of these attacks were racially motivated because of the terms they use to describe the african americans, by calling them "savages" in the quote from Dr. A. A. Brill.
3. I do not think that music can cause people to do immoral things that did occur during this swing era, I think that it had all to do with the rules put on society such as Prohibition, which caused organized crime. Swing music could not cause people to do things that were bad because afterall swing music made people happy.
4. There is music that I can understand to be immoral. It depends on what the values and opinions are of the listener. It it up to the listener to decide if they are immoral or not, for example some thought swing was immoral but I think that types of rap are more immoral because they talk about rape and drugs and those are against my opinions.
5. Like I said before types of music such as rap have harsh reactions, especially when they have a parental advisory sticker on them because we then know that the lyrics are very strong and vulgar which many people do not like.
