1. The factors contributing to the attacks on swing I believe were the change of the era. People choose to live life their own way compared to the strictness of the Victorian people. I can see how Blue Barron can view swing as orchestrated sex because the men and the women would be all over each doing twists and loops.

2. These attacks are racially motivate. Dr. Brill calls the music a "rhythmic sound that pleases savages and children". From this quote I can see that Brill is a racist in his remarks because he calls African Americans savages.

3. I do not believe the statements regarding swing as orchestrated sex. When people feel a beat they dance to it. Music can empower people and they connect with the high intesity of the rhythm.

4. I believe most music music is moral with the exception of death metal and rap. Death metal screams about death and incoherent lyrics can make people mad and crazy. Rap music contains lyrics that refer to killing which is an immoral thing to do.

5. Since I have been around I can refer rap music being a cause of violence in inner-city youth. Since the introduction of artists like Snoop Dog and Eminem the public has opposed the offensive lyrics and messages relayed in the songs.
