Wittgenstein paradox: are our thoughts shaped by our words or our words chosen to express our thoughts? <<<<<

Oh, so very well said!

Sash,

I know you remember the sonnet trail and our
conversations well. Take heed Jess is so right
about you and form poetry.

This one is very special in that it expands
beyond the expectations of the form itself.

You know, the haiku still remains the basis
for any poet worth salt learning how to
deliver a line of poetry with any sense
for expansion.

When we discussed sonnets and I told you that
the ending couplet was designed by William
himself to tie the whole poem together.

I never had to tell you twice how important
those two lines are to a sonnet because you
wrote couplets I could never write to some
of the best sonnets I have read in quite some
time.

The same goes for haiku.

The last line should jump from the other two
and reveal something almost profound while
still maintaining its union to the first two
lines.

I didn't mean to go off here only that I get
so excited sometimes when I find something
hidden in a corner that brings the "WOW"
on as you my dear friend well know.

Awesome!

your partner in rhyme and crime,
andy

~ ohh yes, that sonnet trail...he he but I loved it!

this form was taught to me by a poet called Willow, about 3½ years ago. I've only done a handful of them, but Kristen (flutters) and I were talking just recently actually, about getting back into this form again, so watch this space :)

your support and encouragement is just so wonderful...

((((((((((big-as thank you hugs))))))))) from your partner in rhyme and crime!!!

*love 'n' hugs*
