It takes some time to REALLY know someone. It's always a big risk that emotional investment we need to make in someone we choose to get involved with in the sense of a deep or committed relationship. Yet, the sadness doesn't really come from the enlightenment. Instead it draws up slowly in the one who cannot find the courage to break the chains and move on even after the truth is loud and unavoidable. Always something to dig into in your poetry Willow. For a time when I was younger I was that guy who put on a show so I can relate to this from both sides of the fence. That's about as honest as I can get. The changing for me came after I lost someone in my life that I truly loved because of my own foolish charades. Life is a learning experience and those that choose to learn will prosper. Those that continue on the wayward path will never reap the great benefits and rewards that love can bring to us all. Enjoyed this on two levels and from two sides. thanks, andy [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 16:41:27 01/29/08 Tue Hi Andy, All that you say is so true. There is so much to learn about loving oneself enough to break free, and on the other side . . . enough not to need to abuse or use another. Thank God, some of us learn and grow through these experiences. I admire your honest reflections and wonderful input on the subject of my poem. You are one who learns life's lessons and that's why you can write the beautiful poetry you write. It comes from really learning to be human, doesn't it? Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Hugs, wilo [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
