Subject: I thought this was a King of the hill class. I don't have a problem with bars but i do not think you should let in one piece front ends.
In reply to: David/KOTH 's message, "My two cents on the rules, Matt and I were talking the other day and we both think that why not use the rules from the HIGH Velocity race in Houston last October it was a mix of ORSCA, TTT5 and a few other changes like fiberglass front ends etc, if you rule out some ORSCA cars what if we have a big race in the Dallas area and they cant race ? Johnny has said that if a car comes to race with ORSCA and theres a couple of small differences hes not going to turn them away from racin, hell his LS cars dont care who they race bars or not, lets not kill this class before it even gets goin, If you want to run under the KOTH flag then lets to our best to accomadate everyone... just my opinion" on 21:08:07 11/29/07 Thu

  • I haven't found any L/S organization that allows front fiberglass clips. We want the class to be open as much as possible for the car count but a LIMITED class is just that. Thats the fine line we are trying to walk. Allow as many cars but have some parity to the other L/S organizations. Do you remember when KOTH was a true backhalf class? • FIBERGLASS FRONT ENDS SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL!!!!!!!! NOBODY CAN HONESTLY TELL ME THAT HAVING FIBERGLASS FRONTENDS, AND WHEELIE BARS DONT CARY ANY ADVANTAGE OVER A FACTORY BODIED CAR! I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT IF MY CAR HAD FIBERGLASS FRONTEND, LEXAN WINDOWS, AND WHEELIE BARS, I WOULD BE RUNNING 4.8-4.7'S EVERY HIT DOWN THE TRACK! I CAN SEE ALLOWING WHEELIE BARS. THAT'S NOT THAT BIG A DEAL. BUT IF YOU START ALLOWING FIBERGLASS, LEXAN, ETC ETC, YOU CAN PUT THE WEIGHT IN THE REAR (WHICH MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE ON A TRUE 10 CAR). YOUR GONNA SEE THIS CLASS SPIN OUTTA CONTROL... WE HAD TO SPEND ALOT OF TIME AND MONEY TO CONVERT MY CAR TO LEGAL TRUETEN TRIM WHEN WE BOUGHT IT. WHY SHOULDN'T EVERYONE ELSE?!?!?! -- CHAD REVIA, 09:05:03 11/30/07 Fri
