I haven't found any L/S organization that allows front fiberglass clips. We want the class to be open as much as possible for the car count but a LIMITED class is just that. Thats the fine line we are trying to walk. Allow as many cars but have some parity to the other L/S organizations. Do you remember when KOTH was a true backhalf class? FIBERGLASS FRONT ENDS SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL!!!!!!!! NOBODY CAN HONESTLY TELL ME THAT HAVING FIBERGLASS FRONTENDS, AND WHEELIE BARS DONT CARY ANY ADVANTAGE OVER A FACTORY BODIED CAR! I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT IF MY CAR HAD FIBERGLASS FRONTEND, LEXAN WINDOWS, AND WHEELIE BARS, I WOULD BE RUNNING 4.8-4.7'S EVERY HIT DOWN THE TRACK! I CAN SEE ALLOWING WHEELIE BARS. THAT'S NOT THAT BIG A DEAL. BUT IF YOU START ALLOWING FIBERGLASS, LEXAN, ETC ETC, YOU CAN PUT THE WEIGHT IN THE REAR (WHICH MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE ON A TRUE 10 CAR). It's not "everyone else's" fault you bought a car that you had to make fit the rules. Regardless of the class you want to run I'm sure anyone would have to make a few changes...Who cares? make it all fiberglass!, meet the weight limit, and lets rock n'roll,.
