In reply to: Chad Revia. (the crybaby) 's message, "Texas needs to do their own thing?!?!?! You mean like the West coast does with outlaw 10.5? They allow fiberglass, tube chassis cars to run O/L. Where else can they run BUT on the west coast?!?! And as far as more money than sense, what do you think would happen if alot of the current front runners transfer their cars (being that they have more money than sense) to the fiberglass, wheelie bar, gutted out car that YOU claim legal. TOTAL domination of the class!!! As it is now, a few of us run 4.8-4.9's WITH OUT BARS. Most of the time is 5.0's. With fiberglass and wheelie bars you gonna see 4.7's like clock work! Do you REALLY think that "existing cars", as you call'em, are gonna show up if they know they don't have a chance in hell to win??? I think not Mr. Lane. No offense Robert or Will, but if you guys can afford to build a new alum. big duke motor, I'm sure y'all can afford to buy a factory front end and dash..." on 08:16:18 12/10/07 Mon

Chad, I have noticed when a new local True 10.5 class is starting up you want it to mimic ORSCA rules and if the new class doesn't you claim you're not going to race in it. If you want to go run ORSCA then by all means drive way over there and run with them. But why do we have to copy ORSCA's rules to the letter? Those cars are 3-4 states away and only show up at a handful of races over here to cherry pick. DFW area Limited Street races have had car count problems in the past with strict ORSCA type rules. The rules in TEXAS need to include more EXISTING cars. Most guys are not going to build new cars just to conform to some rules of an Organization that is on the other end of the United States. Futhermore ORSCA doesn't even enforce their current rules in any class. (For example EZ Street 07 rules doesn't allow tubular steering columns, yet almost every car in the class has a tubular steering column and there are a couple of Limited Street Front runners from down your way that run the ORSCA races that do not meet their "NO VISIBLE FASTENERS OF ANY KIND" in the Lexan rule, yet they are allowed to run with them. This Texas Limited Street class could allow bolt on fiberglass front ends and insist on these cars to have a certain weight percentage to be on the front end and then all the Fiberglass in the world isn't going to do you any good except allow more car's to be able to compete in the class. Why not allow wheelie bars and just have a minimum height rule? Again this will allow more existing cars in the class, instead of having them pull them off and force them to buy a $1000.00 Wheelie Control box that these none wheelie bar front runners have? (http://www.dragtraction.com/WC.htm)

As far as your West Coast outlaw 10.5 comment..maybe they only want to race in there local class and could care less what they do somewhere else? If you want to run ORSCA then keep your particular car Orsca legal, but why should everybody else have to build there cars to those rules.
