The Pageant ended in a disappointment. The delegates went through vigorous rehearsals and trainings to help them prepare, but in the end, they showed us that our hard work was unappreciated. Covering the Pageant from the beginning to the end, I was surprized by the outcome. Miss Korea flew here from Texas a few times, but not every weekend like she states in her interview during the pageant. Her arrogance was not only present during the Pageant, but also at rehearsal, distancing herself from the other delegates. This is the person you want to help strenthen cultural values and comaraderie amongst the Asian American Communities? However, when I got home and had a chance to take a look at the Miss Asia USA magazine, I was definitely sure the Pageant was preset from the beginning. It made me realized that this was a typical Asian function, money can buy you a crown, not mad at all. I wanted to thank the Miss Asia USA organizers for allowing me to end my future relationship with them. Now that the integrity is gone, I have no respect for them at all. This was not the professional and highly regarded Pageant I had in mind. We were in the process of promoting Miss Asia USA Pageant throughout the world. I am outraged that the dedication and time put forth by the delegates was a waste. The honor is gone, long gone!!!
