I had been in the AOY since 1979 when I was 5, so I got to see my fair share of GARY in junior congregation. In 1998 GARYS daughter DENIEL and I began to show intrest in each other and she came down to visit me in TEXAS on several occasions in 98. In march of 1999 DENIEL called me and told me she wanted to move to TEXAS and live with me. I told her that was NOT A GOOD IDEA, since she was going to college in harrisburgh and she was in mid term. However DENIEL began telling me she could not handle her dads VERBAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE! And then began to tell me that her DAD had done some very bad things to her. When I began to ask her what he did she began to cry and said it was difficult to talk about, and she was afraid to say more. So I felt I had to do something to help her, and I told her I would try to help her to move to TEXAS. During our relationship I began to realize there was something wrong with DENIEL. She would cry alot in her sleep, and as we grew closer she told me something that was very difficult for me to believe. She told me she was molested sexually br her father GARY. She told me there were four times when gary had "FINGERED HER" and told her NOT TO TELL ANYONE. She told me that it happened twice at home once at the transmitter, and once in the family van. Over the course of our relationship, I Have to admit that I had my doubts on whether this was true. But many time as one councler said, many pedifiles are usually people that you least expect! Finally in 2003 our relationship began to have problems from what DENIEL said were because of"deep emotional issues from her fathers sexual abuse". At that point DENIEL felt she needed help or counseling. At that point DENIEL was looking for closure, and we had made the decision to seek a psychatrist and have GARY pay for her counseling. At that point when DENIEL decided to call social services in PENNSYLVANIA, did an investigation begin on GARY MCAVIN. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]
