Hello Everyone, Same thing at work, stress, stress, stress. I got a note from my nurse manager. She says that my ICP of the pts are very thorough and complete. My vaccination forms are always done for all my admissions. I am glad that at least someone noticed my work. I was happy, especially hearing it from my NM. She checked a few of my pts charts. I must admit, I learned how to do the ICP from my first preceptor, the one that I picked for my preceptor and felt really uncomfortable after a while. Anyway, I owe it all to her. One pt says I give the best subQ injections. I felt really good, although she always laughs whenever I give her subQ because I always fan after wiping the skin with alcohol. I learned from one of my instructors from Lehman to let the alcohol dry before going in. I think it does help for most of my pts. I am not working on Christmas--get to celebrate my kid's/niece birthday that day. Well, hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Stay warm..............Melanie.
