(OOC: I love it! =D I love black wolves. <3 Omg have you heard the song "Stop Loving You" by Toto? I was just listening to it now and... it fits so well it's as if they wrote the song for this thread, lol, it's insane. xD)
"I know. And...I'm sorry too."
He didn't answer- a feeling of exasperation was pricking him and now he certainly didn't trust himself enough to speak. Instead he stared blankly up at the ceiling. What on earth did she possibly have to apologize to him for? When "it" happened, she was simply being a mother- ready to give life and limb to defend her young. He was being a cretin, an imbecile. He was too busy fussing over his own petty agenda to protect those whom he felt it was his duty to protect. It wasn't as if he had even at least tried but then failed, he simply... hadn't. He'd managed to reduce himself to a life form lower than an amoeba.
"Let's go somewhere tomorrow. You know, just wander 'round and see where we end up, how everything is, if there's still a chance of going back to... normal." Going back to normal? How childish did he just sound? And talk about a sudden change of topic. But really, all he wanted to do now was bury the past deep under the snow and move on. He couldn't shake off the feeling that it was something that could be done. The Cascade was back, they were back, the pack was slowly falling into place again... why shouldn't they at least give it a go?
