She listened to her mate's sighs as his mind wandered over possibilities, outcomes, and the future. They drastically needed to go out and do something together tomorrow. Maybe a hunting trip, or an exploration of the borders of Ice Tundra, it had been too long since either of them had been home. And then another thought hit her...pups...she hadn't thought about pups since...well since the last time she had seen her mate, before Ivory, before their deaths, before the desertion. She shook her dial slightly as she pushed the memories back into her mind's recesses. She did want pups...again...she truly did. She wanted to be a mother and see her mate become the best father that any little pups could ever hope for. To teach her children the ways of survival, hunting, love, and acceptance. She felt her mate shift as she curled up into him and gave him some room so that he could try to be more comfortable. She hadn't meant to make him uncomfortable but she was just so caught up in her mate's return that she wanted to be as near to him as possible. Her dial turned to look up at him as she rolled onto her back for a better view of his own dial as she spoke her name. His next words pierced her heart...she knew what the apology was for. A silence passed over them for a few moments as the fea sorted throught her now racing mind. She had been hurt, badly, by his desertion, but she loved him and had forgiven him. Small sigh was emitted as her tounge followed the line of his jaw and ended underneath his chin. She placed her head onto his paws before she spoke. "I know. And...I'm sorry too." She felt so responsible for what had happened. It hadn't of been Flash. It was her. She was stupid, young, and naive and had gotten her pups killed while trying to fight off Ivory, and hadn't been there for Flash when he had needed her.
