She’d never have gone through with them now, though perhaps a honeymoon in Europe could still be arranged down the road, oh there was going to be a honeymoon! The thought caused her to tingle from head to toe hearing his words muttered against her own invading ones. The kiss was mind-blowing, so simple yet epic, an example that love could conquer anything. Fingers grasped his hand tighter as he reacted to the kiss, returning it with a fervor she had not expected, but relished in all the same. Though all too soon he pulled away and she felt a sound catch in her throat, animalistic and uncharacteristic, but present all the same. ”Mmmhmm.” Lips licked, tasting him on them as she gave a broken breath to steady her nearly racing heart. ”S…sorry. I think you’re right.” Her mind slowly shifted gears, from arousal to articulation and reasoning. Finally she cleared her throat and spoke, her two options both making her cringe but they were the only ones she could think of. ”Its back to the club or onward to old stomping grounds and the house…I still have the keys.” Angelina had made sure the homes hadn’t gone into foreclosure, though she’d nearly lost the bar in the process. They were all paid for, though each still needed some TLC that she’d been unable to provide. The Club would have food and drinks, Laurie Ann had no idea if anything was at the house, it’d been unused most the past couple years, Tumbler and Perg’s the only actively sought place or Angelina’s. At that second her stomach growled and Laurie blushed a bright red. Seems her stomach was making the decision for her. ”I could use some food.” Hand detached from his slowly, as she moved to bring the idling Audi back to full life. Waiting for his answer as to where to go. She was game for either, but she’d need to stop for food if they were heading home…my how that word felt foreign on her tongue. |
