I think the 2 SL over 3 AFL bye rounds has legs. Means clubs might get their best blokes on the ground. Another league I know of does this. Is also flexible in squad naming to support coaches by opening both rounds and informing them to name the guys for the following round if they are used for it.

The flexi rule has merit if coaches and mods communicate with each other prior. Yes it might make it harder as we are time poor at times. Just a quick email or Telegram.
