Subject: Under the current Mod set up, I am out effective one week from today

I will try to put my case here in simple form.

A week ago, I asked a Moderator if a player Balta could be allowed play Ruck, as Witts and Stanley was out.

Because a rule was bought in on the 30/09 by one of the Mods (GTD), and because as he says gained no opposition, I was unaware of a 3 HO Ruck rule that was bought in. Making Balta eligible.

It is not currently in the Rules Page on Voy, not voted on, or discussed in detail. In fact postponed to be talked about later (Early this year).

When the request was made, another Mod (Brendan) didn't even know whether Balta was eligible, yet he applies the penalty. And did so, deleting my request, and answering to the issue on Voy.

Since this misunderstanding, I have highlighted that perhaps in the future, and this example, should not be dealt with this way. Singular mods, can not bring up something in the off season, and make it a rule.

To what I have seen in words of other coaches, the Balance Rules need to be discussed and agreed upon again. Because all the coaches have voted on, is Balance Rules to come in, and a promise that flexibility would be given. Some coaches don't agree those rules being applied flexibly.

Regardless, my issue with how this rule was bought about, and I was treated with what I consider disrespect in dealing with the situation from the Mod who bought the rule in, in this manner.

He has said I am just sooking it up, and I will no doubt cause a big issue, and split the league like I did last time.

This statement I believe is not the way a mod should be dealing with an issue. Understanding the way the rule was bought in, didn't meet the expectation of how rules are implemented, and looking positively on how to resolve it, but rather get personal about the criticism about how this rule was bought in, is not the way I feel Mods should speak to coaches in their role, and it has offended me.

For starters, I left SL1, because I wasn't enjoying it, because about four or five coaches were being abusive and causing trouble. I left that league, and started another. Neither went well, SL1 having some sides post 500-600 scores, and others over 2000. I suspected some coaches coached 2 or 3 sides as well.

SL2, had trouble with coaches, so I suggested a merger, as long as the coaches I considered trouble makers did not join the new league, and it has been SL3 (This one) that was born from it.

I felt we could leave SL1 and SL2 in the past, but GTD feels the need to bring that up to highlight me as a certain type of person. That is offensive. So was the sooking it up comment.

So if this league is ok with the way GTD has handled his Moderator role, all power to you, good luck with the comp going forward, without me. But if you feel that mods should not get personal with a coach bringing up a Moderator issues, then let that reflect in responses here. I will give it a week, to see what people think, and going on those discussion, I am either out or in.

I feel that when this rule came in, I wanted to see the input from coaches that have been here since 2004. Max, MG77B, M42, Myself and Robert are all original. GTD is too, but he was the only one putting this rule forward. I don't like that. I encourage all voices to be heard, and not dictated to. I feel this league has lost its way in that regard.
