Subject: Set periods for Votes to be concluded in a set amount of time

A lot of the requests for change at the moment, are postponed for decision to the end of the year. So this system, is to put up any question, and have a 3-4 day turnaround on the issue.

In off season, it can be opened up to a week for coaches to have there say. So that suggests that decisions aren't slow, or any slower than it is now.

The equivalent to what is happening now, is if today I post a vote, and only three coaches vote the three that are always around, and currently Mods, and no other coach enters into the vote, in four days the result and action or inaction comes in.

Cutting the time period down to say one day, may seem unfair because all coaches may not have the chance to vote, but the 3 HO rule over 2 years was discussed and implemented on the back of four coaches talking it over, and mods deciding to go ahead with no further talks on that.

The Mods job may seem like a thankless job, despite nothing but praise coming from the 11 other coaches, but if it feels thankless, I am not sure what else we can say to show our appreciation. Is it what we don't say? To shut up and not argue the decisions?

I see your question "Not sure why this then aggrieves you that Mods have too much power"? and my answer is, that there are a number of coaches that feel they are not listened to. There are decisions made without the input from our valuable coaches. I see that, I hear that, I feel that. I ask, why are some very experienced coaches view, not being considered. Why are mods shortcutting these decisions without vote. As Tenderwarrior said, that he didn't even notice it happening. I probably was in a similar position. And these decisions 3 HO Ruck rule, and Post Draft Trade period, has gone my way, so I could of thought play on.

But that is not the way we set up. Coaches have the right to put input in, and not in discussion form, with Mods sifting through those thoughts, and implementing the findings. Voting makes it clear. "This league WANTS this to come in".

And it takes the personal insult out of the process. We put X rule up, it failed to get through. Not Coach A, B and C didn't let that one through. Coach A, B and C are something that I dislike. People I oppose. People I lose respect for.
