So currently we have 3*SL drafts

PSD - Pre Season
MSD - Mid season
OSD - Off season

These all occur immediately after the respective AFL period/draft

SL trade periods, I don't think we opened one before the PSD this year (or at least I didn't partake) however, no reason why we shouldn't and tbh that would also act as a "Post OSD trade period" - would allow coaches to settle after the SL OSD, take a break, come back in new year and address needs. Just a thought.

As for a trade period after the PSD, I don't think this would normally be required given an offseason of 2 trade periods and drafts, however I'm not against it per se and there's no harm opening one.

My proposal would be:

Pre-PSD trade: Opens Feb 1
PSD: Whenever AFL SSP closes (end of Feb-ish iirc)
Post-PSD trade: Opens after last SL pick and closes at first bounce of H&A season


Pre-MSD trade: Opens 1 week prior to AFL MSD
mSD: Whenever AFL MSD completes
Post-MSD trade: Opens after last SL pick and closes at first bounce of following round

Pre-OSD trade: Opens after SL grand final
OSD: Whenever AFL Rookie Draft Completes (~end of NOV)
Post-OSD trade: Opens after last SL pick and closes end of DEC.

January = tools down, no Voy discussions, no emails between coaches, nothing.
