Kookaburras 2020 National Draft

Delisted: Majak Daw, Marley Williams, Jacob Dawson, Edward Phillips, Corey Ellis, Jesse Joyce

Player Trades: Aidan Corr for #16, Sam Naismith for # 31, Archie Smith for #60

Pick Trades: #3, 16 + 31 for #4, 9 + 34, #9 + 19 for #7 + 23, #33 + 34 for #29 + 39, #47 + F2 for #31 + F3

Draft:-
Pick #4: Nikolas Cox. Versatile and athletic tall who is excellent by foot both sides. Originally intended to take him at #7 but the talls were disappearing at an amazing rate

Pick #7: Elijah Hollands. Rated the classiest Midfielder in the draft. I had intended to take him at #4 so very happy he lasted to this pick

Pick #23: Joel Jeffery. A very skilful utility Wasn’t really sure where to rate him, but my most trusted draft guru rated him as top 10 in an open draft. Good enough for me

Pick 29: Josh Eyre. KPF who tested brilliantly. Might be a surprise selection to some but I am confident he will be a very good player

Pick 31: Liam McMahon. Mobile KPF/F2. Part of my plan to improve tall stocks this draft

Pick 39: Fraser Rosman: Another mobile KPF/F2. That’s 4 talls in 6 picks. Plan executed

At this point my draft entered the crap shoot zone. Took a punt on 3 kids for no particular reason other than their write ups seemed fairly good:-
Pick #60: Nick Stevens
Pick #61: Seamus Mitchell
Pick #75: Tyler Brockman

Kookaburras average age is now 22.1 years
