As long as you name your squad of 22 players with AFL selected players (includes extended benches), then if there is a late out then emergencies are used in order, regardless of positional restriction.

If you name a player that is not AFL selected, then that is 'zero" unless you name a replacement (positional restriction) on Voy before the commencement of that match, or there is a positional replacement (like for like) in your emergencies (in order).
