Ever watchful, Verda caught the instinctual flinch from the other, the fight of flight response of all animals. Humans had it too... it just wasn't as important in human form.. they were the top of the food chain. Their animal sides however, didn't quite see it that way. Lyla's response actually pleased Verda slightly. The pup would stay alive longer listening to those instincts, and it was good to be wary of someone she didn't know. After the brief contact, Verda crossed her arms over her chest and processed the other's question... how to best prove her loyalty... hmm. Verda wasn't the type to offer up tests to be passed, however entertaining the idea. "I'm sure we can think of something... In the meantime.. You look like you could use a good meal." She stepped a wide path around Lyla, giving her more than enough space, and headed toward the back of the subway, toward a tunnel leading into the Route's territory
