It was the movement that had caused the female to flex the legs in her muscles. But she saw the human side reflected in the offer of the hand and she felt her body relax again. Human reactions she could handle. It was the animal sides that she was weary of. Her hand, pale white but soft, was extended to grasp the others. Her hold was loose and her dry palm met the others in a loose handshake. “I can prove my loyalty.” The words poured out before the thought occurred to her. Was there an initiation she had to go through? That was a scary thought. “How is the best way to do that?” It was better to ask than wonder silently.
