{ c l o t h i n g }

It was official. It was time for Ezra to get a road map. He'd been living here for a year and he was still managing to get lost every other day. He stood lamely on the deserted concrete platform, glancing dejectedly up and down the length of the dark, musty tunnels. If there had been any other form of life other than himself down here that he could actually see, it might have been less creepier. An unexpected chill ran up his spine and pricked at his skin, and instinctively he shoved his hands into the pockets of his hoodie and pulled it tighter around his somewhat scrawny frame.

He took several steps backwards until he had his back to the wall. It felt safer that way. That way, nothing could jump him from behind. At this Ezra tilted his head to the side, a quizzical look on his face. Jumped from behind by what? There was nobody else here, at least, nobody that he could sense. But then again, his senses weren't very good, either. At least not in his human form. He then felt like shifting back into his animal form, like he'd done when he first arrived in this... whatever it was, deserted subway thing. For some reason Ezra felt less vulnerable as a dog, although he still preferred going about his business as a human.

Running his fingers through his thick black hair, he sunk down onto the floor with a quiet sigh. Ezra drew his legs up to his chest and folded his hands across his stomach. A few minutes passed before he glanced around him again, his fingers lightly drumming a rhythmless tune. Other than the faint sound of his breathing and the occasional creak, rattle and clang of something one'd rather not find out what it was or where it came from, the Route was completely silent. How boring. Ezra leaned his head back against the hard brick wall. This felt like one of those "crrk crrk, crrk crrk" moments one always saw in cartoons during an awkward silence. "Hellooo..." Hellooo... "Echoooe..." Echoooe... Ezra had always found echoes fascinating, so he gathered he may as well amuse himself until something better came along or he'd assembled enough motivation to try and find his way out. Another sigh.
