She could smell and hear a few rats scrambling as the tracks began to quake with the weight of the oncoming train. Lyla used this excuse to pick her book up again and return her eyes to the pages just as the train thundered into the quietness the girls had just been occupying. The tunnels filled with sound and Lyla's eyes drifted over words that her brain wasn't taking in. Only a few people emerged and to them, Lyla and Silver were just bench companions that were both too absorbed in their own worlds to notice each other. ' This break gave Lyla enough time to recollect her thoughts, too. She didn't trust Silver yet and Lyla blamed it on the sly smirks and the in-depth questions. Once the train had departed the platform again, Lyla put her book back down and looked around. The tunnel was empty again. She glanced to Silver. "We have places to stay. Why?
