Telcoltl was a pretty calm guy. He had had years to practice the art of patience. He had decades to learn to control his temper and he had used every minute of it wisely. But when his plans backfired, it was always a kick to his ego. He snarled and before he himself had even realized it, he had let go of Karina and had lunged at Marcius. He pushed him over a side table beside the chair he had inhabited earlier. The empty wine glasses shattered on the floor. Telcoltl was all fangs and anger. It was very unlike him. He had each of Marcius’ wrists pinned back against the table. He lusted for the sound of his spine snapping. But Telcoltl wasn’t stupid. He knew it was mere luck that had gotten him this far. Marcius was stronger because he was older. Only now did Telcoltl regret his decision to help. Too bad his maker wasn’t around to protect him.
