Subject: She rides up on an ugly mare...

The mare is covered in scars, like her master, with a jug head and a mottled hide. Though rough and mangy looking, the mare was as impeccably cared for as she was trained. This mare was bred on the plains, a Renshai battlemare. She could guard better than most humans and fight like a wildcat when instructed. Bel'Khalyn rode bridless, though she was seated upon a high-bowed knight's saddle. She pulls up before them, the mare baring her teeth at the other horses. "First off," she began, "You will need to train your horses to joust. This is different than a battletrained horse. Your horse needs to be quiet for mounting, stand until ready, and run like the devil when you are. They must run straight, full gallop, fearlessly, and than pull up when you win or get knocked off. Sounds easy, but you have one hand to hold the reins and the other to hold your 10 ft. lance." She figets, disliking the saddle, but knowing it's necessary. "Than, you have to learn to fit armor, don armor, wear armor, and fight with armor. Than the lance. Once you can canter in a straight line without springing yourself out of the saddle, you learn how to try and nock your opponent out of theirs while keeping your seat. Simple." she said with a chuckle. Now, for the horses. Pull up by the lists, one at that end, me at the other. When I whistle, gallop like you have the demons of hell after you down that wooden fence (called the list). Pull up at the end and we'll go again." She took her place at the end, waiting for someone to take place at the other.
