Theron chewed on the edge of his coffee cup, slowly stirring in the additional sugar. Karina was such a good girl. Marcius had never been as obliging OR helpful, even in his youth. Always complaining about how 'he wasn't the maid' or something to that same effect. Karina would probably complain about menial tasks but- she was fetching cupcakes. He liked cupcakes. Unless she brought back the wrong kind. Then he didn't like cupcakes.

He sipped his drink slowly, staring out the window at her retreating form. It was an easy sight, that was to be sure. And he was blind as a bat (okay, not really) without his contacts, so that was saying someting (even if it was a lie; it's the thought that really counts- right?).

I think, Marcius, Theron began, slowly. You should lend the girl to me. A few weeks under my tutelege and she won't be so eagar to escape your tender affections.
