Job Description:Brief Description The Civil Apprentice is responsible for performing manual and semi-skilled labor tasks for construction and maintenance operations. This position provides assistance to equipment operators and journeyman level craft personnel. Detailed Description Perform excavation, trenching & gravel placement. Dig ditches, tunnels, bores, and back fills as required. Lift, carry, and handle construction supplies and materials. Work around heavy equipment, well head and drill rigs. Assist in underground pipeline excavation. Assist with and install vertical support members, well houses and well house floor kits. Provide rigging support. Operate oxy/acetlyene cutting torch. Provide hand and radio crane signals. Assist in the lubrication of equipment and machinery. Operate light machinery and equipment as required. Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area. Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures. Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations. Job Requirements Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma or GED with a minimum of one year related training and experience required. A combination of training and experience may be substituted for the diploma requirement. Certifications North Slope Training Cooperative certification may be required.
