I had also a similar experience with my mother
s girdles and my grandmothers corsets.

I found that one I put on a girdle I felt really great and my stomach and back were well supported.

Here is what I learned from my corsetiere.
She told me that some people male or female as soon as they put on a girdle they will become right away totally girdle dependent.
Some people can take much longer. Some it can take 1 week 2 weeks, and even up to 2 to 3 months.
