I DO get it!
I wore OBGs for years and that meant stockings! Not only does the girdle hold the stockings up, the stockings hold the girdle down!

I was always single and had to manage on my own.
The way I did it was: Stockings on, Then pull the girdle into place. Squat a little and reach between my legs to fastwn the back garters, Then straighten the knees but stay bent forward and do the front garters. Theen stand straight and do the side garters.
Then fasten the bottom 2 hook-n-eye closures. If the top two can be fastened without excess strain go ahead and fasteen them then relax and zip up. If it is difficult to fasten the remaining hook-n-eyes, pull the zipper up between 1/3 and 1/2 way then put your right foot just a little in front of the left, suck in hard and fasten the rest of the hook-n-eyes and zip the rest of the way up.

Then it's simple, socks shirt, smooth out the shirt and then the pants. That way the shirt is already tucked in.
Then do the shoes and unlss it's dead winter you are ready to leave the house.
