Again let me apologize for taking so long. I had a laptop that just would not boot one morning and to get the system re-built on a new laptop took a while.

Here is my first girdle story

First Girdle experience:

It would haver been in October 1974. Just a little over a year when the core city of the suburb I lived in had seen the “second” afternoon newspaper sell “Certain assets” to the larger afternoon paper and close up shop.
I had a route in an area around the neighborhood. I had bought a used bicycle from a school mate and outfitted it with large baskets to deliver the paper.
Because my brother was so much younger than me, I was usually the first one home. As soon as I got in the house I would walk the dog and then start my paper route.
Mom had taken a part timer job down the road, not because we needed the money but because she just wanted out of the house and “To teach you some independence!”
I never had any desire to cross dress or anything similar. It may have been about weight, or it may just have been that I was not getting enough touches. I also was always curious about how girdles felt to wear them all day.
I had often used some of that “Gap time” to go in Mom’s girdle drawer and just determine what she really had.
She was very small and petite, and never wore girdles around home, or to just go the grocery store, and her girdles were unboned and rarely had zippers. She ALWAYS wore a girdle of some sort to her still new part time job, to church, to any school events that either one of us had.
As you can imagine, the girdle collection grew a good bit when she was working even just 4-5 hours a day 6 days a week. So I had sized up the girdle collection, and done so with no interest in bras. I did not yet realize how important stockings were wit an OBG.
I picked out a panty girdle in “Rose”(Darker pink) with a non-stretch front panel and muli-layered elastic all around.
On one rainy afternoon, Dad was late getting home because traffic in the city was horrendous normally, add a little water and it only gets worse!
I needed a little more tine for my route two but not as much.
That meant that he was still changing out of his suit when I got through doing my paper route. I hung around upstairs on the excuse of changing out of my wet clothes.
Once Dad was done and headed downstairs. I immediately slipped over to my parents room, straight for Mom’s girdle drawer and got the selected panty girdle and scurried back to my room with it. It was immediately clear that I was NOT going to be able to wear my “tidy whities” with it at all. I adjusted it and put my pants on over it. It was the best feeling I had ever experienced up to that point
I kept it on for a few more hours and got used to the feeling. Just had to make sure to return it to its proper place by the time Mom got home.

A few things were clear as I lay in bed thinking about it:
1) Mom’s girdles just were NOT adequate for my needs, I didn’t really know what “strays” were until I bought my first two girdles, but clearly I needed more structure than those girdles could provide and layering was not the answer.
2) I was going to have to find some way to get them into the house without Mom knowing, and she DID read my mail, usually over my father’s objections.
3) This was going to get EXPENSIVE beyond what my paper route could support
4) I didn’t have the guts to wear a girdle the place I needed it most, to school
I worked these problems out slowly, learned the advantages of an open-bottom girdle , learned how to put on stockings and established a reliable affordable source that would not break the bank.
