I have two girdle stories - both involve our office secretary, Fran, fresh out of college, cira 1960's... The first event happened when miniskirts were becoming popular and hemlines were rising day-by-day. I was having coffee with Fran and we were sitting in a somewhat private booth - out of the blue she said she wanted to ask me something and I said "sure" - she said, with hemlines going up, she was concerned about the top of stocking showing. With that she stood up and hiked her skirt up to show the little distance there was remaining between the her stocking welts and the long-leg girdle she had on! So there she was for a few moments, standing, only a foot from my face showing her pantygirdle!! I suggested she get longer length stockings like my wife was using that were made to be worn with miniskirts. Thinking back, I can't believe how nonchalant I was about it all...
