Author: Crown or no crown, always proud of my daughter
Subject: Moms PLEASE read

I have to say how disappointed I am to see such negative things about the ANTSO pageant system. My daughter competed at nationals several years ago and had the time of her life. Did she win the crown? No. What she did when she left was continued to make the most of her state title and cherished every second. Our state director is one of the most phenomenal women I have ever known and continued to help my daughter even while competing in other systems years later. MOMS - our daughters watch everything we do. If we rant and rave about how she should have won and it's not fair, etc., guess what our daughters will be doing? And guess what they will pass on to their children? I have observed so many times girls not winning, being disappointed for a short time, and then feeling happy to have had the experience. Then mom comes back stage ranting, and the daughter leaves all mad, sad, and also ranting. Please, please, please move on and start being the person you want your daughter, and her daughter, etc. to be. You'll find it is so much more fun and rewarding!
